Tuesday, August 27, 2024, we danced a mixture of easy dances and more ‘interesting’ dances. We included a couple of dances in memory of Malcolm Brown. We reviewed quicktime traveling and setting, allemande for 3 couples, set and link, petronella turns, and the bourrel.

Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Noel Chávez taught the class. We worked extensively on quicktime traveling step, starting with galloping and progressing to regular traveling step. We also worked on slip-step in circles, turning by the right and left both in 4 bars and in 2 bars. And we started working on Sugar Candie by doing the last 16 bars: turn corner-partner into 6-bar reels on the sides with first couple crossing on the last 2 bars.

Tuesday, August 6, 2024, we were a small but feisty group and had a new dancer join us, so we danced some basic dances and a couple of fun favorites. We reviewed circles, hands across, casting off, turns by RH and LH, figures of 8, rights and lefts, double triangles, corner-partner, and advance and retire.
