Tuesday, February 27, 2024, was quite a night. Despite severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings we had 5 dancers so we danced a variety of 5-person dances and had fun doing so.

Tuesday, February 20, 2024, we worked on dances from the Madison Ball and returned to working on dances with allemandes and knots, plus a few other fun dances. We also tried a proposed dance for the Midwest Scottish Weekend Saturday Ball.

Tuesday, February 13, 2024, Noel Chávez taught the class. She worked on handing in turns and emphasized that there are no ‘wings’ in SCD. She also worked on the grand chain, handing in circles, and timing for the allemande.

Tuesday, February 6, 2024, we were pleased to welcome back a couple of dancers we’d not seen in quite a while. We had a large enthusiastic group and we worked on a few dances from the Madison Ball, a potential dance for the Midwest Scottish Weekend Saturday Ball, and a couple of other fun dances. We worked our way through the Best Set in the Hall signature figure and learned the strathspey spurtle.
