Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Noel Chávez taught the class. We had a large class (3 sets!) including a few beginners, so we worked on quicktime and strathspey traveling and setting steps and some basic figures. We also revisited The St Nicholas Boat and after class tried a new dance for cicadas.

Tuesday, June 18, 2024, we had a new dancer who found us at the Highland Games, plus returning dancers who’d not been there for a bit. It was a lively group and we mixed easier dances with a couple of interesting new dances from Book 53 and Delaware Valley Gold. We practiced quicktime traveling and setting steps, hands across, turning by the right and left in 4 and 2 bars, rights and lefts, and figures of 8.

Tuesday, June 4, 2024, we finished dancing the remaining more interesting, lesser-known, or not-done-recently dances from the Midwest Scottish Weekend. We also danced The Reel of the 51st Division in honor of the anniversary of the evacuation of Dunkirk and a couple of other lovely dances.
