Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Noel Chávez taught the class and started with a dance with basic figures to work on doing a dance from a briefing only.  Then she worked on skip-change, in particular extending the step as necessary to cover ground and introduced mirror double crossover reels of 3 on the sides.  Later she introduced parallel crossover reels of 3 on the sides.  We paused in the middle to celebrate Ken's milestone birthday and danced a dance written especially for the occasion.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026, we continued to work on the dance of the month and did some dances from the Milwaukee Summer and Halloween dances.  We continued to work on the knot and swapping tandem reels.  Carrie worked on stepping up and down correctly and taught John Cass and the cool down.

Tuesday, August 11, 2026, we continued to work on the knot and reels and half reels of 4.  We also worked on the signature figure for Best Set in the Hall and did a couple of dances from the Milwaukee Halloween dance program.  We worked on strathspey turns and circles emphasizing that they should be round and how arms and feet should be working.  We continued with our dance of the month as well.

Tuesday, August 4, 2026, we started a new dance of the month and continued working on the knot and tandem reels.  We worked on strathspey and quicktime traveling steps. We also covered double figures of 8, corners pass and turn, and the pickup chain.
