Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Noel Chávez taught the class. We worked on reels of 4 and pas-de-basque both in place and moving as in double triangles then reviewed double triangles.

Tuesday, February 17, 2026, we practiced rights and lefts, dancing them in both strathspey and quicktime. We also practiced strathspey traveling and setting steps then the strathspey poussette. We danced a couple of dances from the Madison Ball.

Tuesday, February 10, 2026, we practiced the allemande and the quicktime poussette, dancing the allemande in strathspey and reel time. We also practiced skip-change and pas-de-basque steps and hello-goodbye setting in strathspey time. We did one dance from the Madison Ball.

Tuesday, February 3, 2026, we worked solely on Midwinter Ball dances, concentrating on those most needing review. We also danced a combined dance with the new dancer class. We reviewed the snake pass figure, broke IPFtA into parts and danced it in those parts, reviewed hello-goodbye setting, the chain progression for 3 couples, and the 3-couple allemande, reviewed set to and turn corners into closing reels, set and rotate for 3 couples, and the 3-couple bourrel.

Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the new dancer session Noel Chávez reviewed a number of Midwinter Ball dances. After Carrie led the warmup, they reviewed corner-partner, ladies’ chain, and the QT poussette. At the end of the session they joined the regular class for a combined dance.
