Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Noel Chávez taught the class and worked on paying attention to the music and timing built into the music, 4- and 2-bar turns, 1 1/2 turns in 4 bars, set and link, and some pas de Basque practice.  She taught several dances using those techniques and ended with the dance of the month. We were pleased to have out-of-town guests (Hi, Anne and Curt!).

Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Aileen taught a lesson in pas de Basque and we danced several dances with pdB and reviewed figures of 8, corner-partner, petronella turns, and reels of 3.  We repeated our dance of the month and ended class early so we could go to the ice cream stand across the street to celebrate Carrie and Aileen passing their unit 2 & 3 exams.

Tuesday, June 16, 2026 we worked extensively on reels of 3 and danced some dances with reels of 3. Carrie worked on the strathspey poussette and taught The Minister on the Loch. We danced a dance for more experienced dancers then repeated our dance of the month and ended by working on the knot and dancing a dance with both a strathspey poussette and a knot.

Tuesday, June 9, 2026 we worked on reviewing the figures new dancers had learned and learning classic dances everyone should know.  We will work on one particular dance all month.  We talked about how some dances just flow from one figure to another and how some lead tunes tell you how the dance goes. We also tried out a new Sue dance. Figures reviewed were advance and retire, ladies' chain, half figure of 8, back to back, reels of 3, double triangles, half diagonal reels of 4, and the QT poussette.
