Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Noel Chávez taught the class and worked on the 2-couple allemande, the 3-couple promenade, moving pas-de-Basque, double triangles, and talked about thinking of a dance as a whole and figuring out how to remember what comes next.  Carrie taught strathspey setting and travelling and the transitions from one to the other.

Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Rebecca Winnie came down to work with our teacher candidates and brought Shelby Yahn with her.  Rebecca taught 2 dances and worked on the tourneé. Shelby worked on skip-change in jig time and the 2-couple allemande then introduced a 16-bar partial dance in jig time.  Aileen worked on strathspey traveling steps and corner-partner then introduced a 16-bar partial dance in strathspey time.  Carrie worked in pas de Basque and skip-change with transitions from pas de Basque to skip-change and vice-versa and the QT poussette then introduced a 16-bar partial dance in reel time.

Tuesday, May 12, 2026, we had a concurrent new dancer class taught by Noel Chávez for the first half hour that worked on reels of 3 and corners and introduced strathspey steps. In the regular class we danced several dances from the Midwest Scottish Weekend in addition to working on dances with reels of 3, ladies' chain, turning corners, and the allemande.  We reviewed corner-partner and the strathspey half-poussette.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026, we had a concurrent new dancer class taught by Noel Chávez for the first half hour that introduced ladies' chain and grand chain. In the regular class we danced several dances from the Midwest Scottish Weekend in addition to working on dances with ladies' chain and grand chain.  We also worked on skip-change. We reviewed the tourbillon, set and link for 3 couples, the espagnole, the double figure of 8, the rondel, and set to and turn corners into closing reels.
